COLLABORATIVE FAMILY LAW
COLLABORATIVE DIVORCE - About half of all marriages in the United States end in divorce. The unfortunate reality is that most of these divorces result in unnecessary collateral damage, as the family issues involved are far too complex and personal for a court to address. Now there is a better way.

Author Patricia Dischler provides a poignant and moving narrative, notable for its honesty. Patricia chose an open adoption arrangement for her son Joe in 1985. DIVORCE IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD
This short book is pretty good for helping kids between 9 and 15, say, cope with separation and divorce. It's written by two (obviously unusually literate and relationship-savvy) kids, and their mom. It discusses feelings of guilt, anger, managing belongings between two houses, planning birthdays and other events, avoiding manipulation by parents, sharing your thoughts with friends and parents, finding the bright side of a sad situation, dealing with parents' boyfriends/girlfriends, with step-parents, and with step-siblings.

RELATIONSHIP AWARENESS/COMMUNICATIONS
TAKING THE POWER STRUGGLE OUT OF PARENTING - This audio book, and it's author, are both amazing. The Stockdale Law Firm recommends this for parents of children of all ages (yes, even adults).

TAKING THE WAR OUT OF WORDS - Whether we are dealing with a rude clerk, our child saying, "That's not fair!," our spouse ignoring us, or an uncooperative co-worker, in our struggle to respond effectively, we often become defensive - sometimes without even realizing it. Despite good intentions, we can become manipulative and controlling, even with those we love most.
